Responsibilities: Work with one of the Founding Directors on multiple aspects of CPI’s fundraising efforts: Assist with special events and fundraising (attending events on occasion); assist in researching new public and corporate funding opportunities; research and develop CPI’s local and national network of supporters and high level patrons; assist the Director on personal projects and general office duties (assist with mailings, database entry) as needed.
Requirements: Interest in pursuing a career in areas of arts fundraising and sponsorship development. Office and administrative experience required; strong organizational, writing and communication skills; high attention to detail; ability to work both independently and under structured supervision; solid research experience; strong interest in contemporary art and non-profit organizations.
This internship will offer insight into fundraising and administrative aspects of operating a non-profit organization and will offer the candidate a chance to work directly with the Founding Directors of CPI: experience as a personal assistant a plus.
Schedule: Minimum of one day a week. Part time, flexible. Schedule can be adjusted for the right candidate.
