Creative Conversation: Murals

Creative Conversations is a new event series that will run quarterly. It is our goal to provide a venue for alternative education and to promote discussion on current and local creative practices.

We interact with art everyday, we see it on buildings and scattered around neighborhoods; painted stories of moments in time. There is no doubt that murals contribute to a community in powerful ways, but how does the artists experience reflect in this contribution? We appreciate the finished product, but how often do we consider the process, the physicality and psychology of such an endeavour? For the first Creative Conversation at CPI we hope to help answer some of these questions using accounts of personal experience.

Creative Conversations: Murals will feature speakers Jill Stanton, Borys Taresanko and Alex Labarda who will share their experiences surrounding mural development. Those attending are encouraged to join the conversation.
